Nigerian man shares advice, tells men to stop making mothers shareholders in marriages

The issue of mothers-in-law and wives being unfriendly to each other has always been a reoccurring story in many marriages. There have been stories of mothers-in-law and wives fighting one another.

Due to this, a Nigerian man identified simply as Chinua has shared a piece of interesting advice he believes would put a stop to some of the beef between mothers-in-law and wives.

Chinua took to his Twitter account to advise men on this issue. He called on men to stop making mothers shareholders in their marriages.

The Twitter user expressed that mothers are the wives of fathers, not the son's first wife. He also added that men should marry women of their choice and not for their mothers.

Chinua further urged husbands to stop making their spouses miserable by making mothers too involved in marriages.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a video showing a young wife and her aged mother-in-law exchanging words recently made rounds on social media.

The two women shouted at themselves in Yoruba as the wife was even heard telling the old woman to get out of her house.
