Biodun Fatoyinbo: CAN representatives visit COZA, pledge support for pastor

- Representatives of CAN have pledged support for Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA

- The representatives who visited the church to show their support said they believe COZA will come out stronger from the issue it is facing

- Addressing the congregation, one of the representatives declared that the gate of hell shall not prevail against the church

Representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) visited Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) to show support to their head pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, over the r*pe allegations levelled against him by Busola Dakolo.

In a video that has gone viral online, the COZA representatives said that an attack on COZA is same on the church and they would not stand by to let that happen.

One of the representatives said: "It is a pleasure being here and we will continue to be with you. We are in support of your church.

"We are in support of your pastor. We stand by him and this church will continue to march forward. I said and declare, the gate of hell shall not prevail against this church"

As one of the CAN representatives spoke, the church members screamed in response as a strong show of support.

"How can we FCT CAN chairmen...hear that one church that God has a plan and purpose for is going through this Jerusalem Jericho road (referring to the allegations), and then we will walk and walk away? We will not do such a thing."

The second representative said that the church will come out stronger from the present situation it is in.

The representative concluded the show of support session by saying: "I want to let you know you are not alone. You have brothers and sisters praying for you."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Pastor Fatoyinbo stepped down from performing his pastoral duties in the house of God.

The COZA pastor made the announcement in a statement he released on his Instagram page. He stated that he would be taking a leave of absence from the pulpit of the church.

It should be recalled also that CAN earlier said the the COZA is not a member of any of the families that belong to its association.
