Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has paid a condolence visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti whose daughter, Funke Olakunrin was killed.
The daughter of the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, was killed while travelling on Friday, July 12.
The vice president on Sunday, July 14 paid a condolence visit to the Afenifere leader at his house in Ondo state.
Osinbajo also extended his condolence to Idowu Olakunrin, the widower.
He prayed that God would comfort the families of the deceased.
The vice president also said the federal government would deploy soldiers to highways to increase security and protect travellers.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Funke was shot on Friday, July 12. Sources said she was coming from Lagos when her vehicle was attacked by kidnappers in Ore in Ondo state.
Joseph confirmed the tragic incident. He said the kidnappers also engage in armed robbery. The police said three vehicles were attacked by the kidnappers and that one of the passengers, Gerald Igboroka was yet to be found by the police.
