American professional tennis player Serena Williams was on Saturday, July 13, defeated in the final of the Women's Wimbledon in straight sets by Simona Halep.
In fact, Serena Williams disappointed many of her supporters as 27-year-old Simona Halep was superb in the encounter.
Halep's victory against the tennis legend Serena Williams was first time in Wimbledon final and her second Grand Slam win.
Last year, Williams lost out to Angelique Kerber in final just ten months after nearly dying during childbirth.

''She literally played out of her mind! Congratulations Simona.
''It was a little bit of deer in the headlights from me. When someone plays like that you have to tip your cap and nod your head,'' Williams said after losing the match.
