Similarly, Legit.ng previously gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated Professor Soyinka in advance ahead of his 85th birthday ceremony which would hold on Satursday, July 13. Buhari noted that Soyinka, a literary icon, is one of the country’s greatest prides, and a universal brand.

Recall that the literary scholar was a topic of discussion on social media several days ago, after a popular Nigerian businessman Tonye Cole, narrated how a young man had asked the professor to exit a seat originally allocated to him. The issue had led to a back and forth on social media as many suggested that the young man was rude and unbecoming.
