Part of the statement read: “At this juncture, the Yorùbá Summit Group, the umbrella body of all Yoruba groups, will have to say to the whole Yoruba nation that we have just about had enough of this evil union that has failed the 60 million strong Yoruba people, yet again.

“To therefore be bashed, buffeted with such a gruesome death in the heart of the Yoruba nation, will not be allowed to happen without profound and fundamental consequences!

“This is where the Yoruba cross the border into angry town, and not even for the time being.”

The group stated that there will be a more comprehensive and definitive statement coming forth to the Yoruba nation from the Yoruba Summit Group, in due course.

“And to the enablers, prevaricators, protectors of the itinerant murdering Fulani herdsmen, a plea - leave us to mourn and bury our dead.

“None such fake condolences are needed at this time,” the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, herdsmen who are resident in the southwest region have been warned by the Oodua People’s Congress-Reformed (OPC-R), to refrain from terrorising the geopolitical zone.

The Lagos coordinator of the OPC-R, Comrade Samson Olaosebikan, called on traditional rulers in the state to unite and work for the security of residents and indigenes.

Claiming that the region has been besieged by some herdsmen, Olaosebikan warned the accomplices and godfathers of the cattle rearers to desist from any evil act.
