Super Eagles trio of Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo and defender Chidozie Awaziem have been declared fit to face Algeria in AFCON 2019 semifinal clash on Sunday, July 14.
There have been reports that these three players may not be fit for Nigeria's next AFCON 2019 game against Algeria due to the knocks they suffered against South Africa.
Ahmed Musa was superb for Nigeria against the Bafana Bafana in the quarterfinal, but the former Kano Pillars man was replaced in the second half with Moses Simon.
Defender Awaziem has also been superb for Nigeria in this competition since he replaced Shehu Abdullahi at the right back.
Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye however told reporters in Egypt that these three players are good to face Algeria.
“Everyone is fit for the game against Algeria. We pray not to have any issues during our last training ahead of Sunday’s match,'' he said.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa urged Egyptian fans to give Nigeria the maximum support on Sunday, July 14, when they face Algeria in the AFCON 2019 semifinal.
Many Egyptian fans are still battling with the pains of their defeat against South Africa in the round of 16 which sent the Pharaohs out of the AFCON 2019.
But Nigeria's Super Eagles made their day when they defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa 2-1 in their quarterfinal encounter.
