10 Nigerians reportedly escape jail in India

- Some Nigerians in a prison in India reportedly broke from jail

- The escapees were reportedly detained for criminal activities

- All the escaped kidnappers were eventually captured

Reports have emerged that 10 Nigerian broke and escaped a jail in India.

According to India’s Business Standard, the Nigerians broke out of the jail on Thursday, July 11.

The inmates who are yet to be identified were detained in a prison in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, were they escaped from.

The detainees were reportedly engaged in criminal activities with some living in the national capital region without valid travel documents.

The additional director general of police of Meerut zone said: “Some inmates escaped due to negligence of guard and some of them were later caught. Action being taken against staff whoever is responsible for it.”
