Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa has urged Egyptian fans to give Nigeria the maximum support on Sunday, July 14, when they face Algeria in the AFCON 2019 semifinal.
Many Egyptian fans are still battling with the pains of their defeat against South Africa in the round of 16 which sent the Pharaohs out of the AFCON 2019.
But Nigeria's Super Eagles made their day when they defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa 2-1 in their quarterfinal encounter.
Musa who started against South Africa before leaving the pitch for Moses Simon in the second half has now thanked the Egyptian fans for the support so far and begged for more.
“A very big thank you to the Egyptian fans and urged them to come out again in full support of the Super Eagles.
“They should keep on supporting us, it was very good that the Egyptian fans came out to support us.
“So, I’m going to say a very big thank you to the Egyptian fans, they should come out in the next game against Algeria to support us,'' Ahmed Musa told Brila FM.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa explained that he wants to win the 2019 African Cup of Nations title for late Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi.
Stephen Keshi was the manager in charge of the Super Eagles the last time they won the Nations Cup title in South Africa six years ago.
And since then, Nigeria have failed to qualify for the last two editions of the Nations Cup before they made it to Egypt 2019.
