Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has said that the Igbo have no regrets over the appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The presidential general of the youth council, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said that the president has the constitutional rights to select his team from any part of the country.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, July 11, the president general urged Ndigbo to embrace the choice of President Buhari over the position of chief of staff and secretary to the government of the federation, Nigerian Tribune reports.

Legit.ng recalls that Mallam Abba Kyari and Boss Mustapha were reappointed as chief of staff and secretary to the government of the federation, respectively.

Isiguzoro felicitated with Kyari and Mustapha, saying the appointments were well deserved for their immeasurable contributions to Buhari's re-election.

He assured them of Ndigbo's support towards ensuring that the presidency completes all the ongoing projects approved by the last Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Isiguzoro urged them to ensure that the unfulfilled electoral promise of President Buhari before he was elected in 2015, to revamp Enugu Coal Mine closed for 49 years, would be realisable before 2023.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of his personal physician, Dr Suhayb Rafindadi and 10 other personal staff.

The president’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, confirmed this development in a statement in Abuja on Friday, July 5.

Those re-appointed by the president, according to the presidential aide, include:

Mohammed Sarki Abba - senior special assistant to the president (household and social events)

Friday Bethel - Personal assistant (general duties) Sunday Aghaeze - Personal assistant (state photographer) Bayo Omoboriowo - Personal assistant (presidential photographer)

Shehu disclosed that the appointments took effect from May 29.
