Gonzalo Higuaín who currently plays for Italian giants Juventus has emerged as a target for Premier League side West Ham United who want him to lead their attack next season.

After selling Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and with the expiration of Andy Caroll's contract, the Hammers are looking for another striker this summer.

Javier Hernandez and Jordan Hugill are now the only strikers left at West Ham United and the club are not comfortable ahead of the coming EPL season.

According to Sky Sports Italia, West Ham United have made contact with Juventus over the possibility of them to sign Gonzalo Higuain.

The 31-year-old enjoyed two successful seasons at Juventus scoring 55 goals in 105 games from 2016-18.

He was then loaned out to AC Milan for the first half of the 2018-19 season and to Chelsea from January till the end of 2018/19 season.

Although his performances for the Blues were disappointing, but Higuain left the Stamford Bridge winning the Europa League title.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Italian champions Juventus reportedly told Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain that he is free to leave the club this summer as his services are no longer needed in Turin.

Higuain made a return to the Old Lady after the expiration of his loan spell at Premier League side Chelsea in which the Blues failed to extend his stay.

And having played under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and Chelsea, Higuain was hoping that his working relationship with the Italian would continue at Juventus.
