Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal captain, has refused to travel to the United States with the rest of the squad for pre-season.
Koscielny is said to be keen on leaving the Emirates this summer, with reports indicating the Frenchman is interested on a return to Ligue 1.
Bordeaux, Lyon and Rennes are some of the top clubs said to be keen in landing the services of the veteran defender.
The 33-year-old has however taken a rather radical route in his attempt to force his exit after failing to show up for the Gunners' US pre-season tour.
"Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour," a statement by Arsenal confirmed.
"We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions. We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time," the statement continued.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Arsenal have intensified their chase for the signature of Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha, as Unai Emery seeks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.
The Gunners have already seen their opening bid of £40m rejected, with Palace demanding £80m for their star attacker.
