Wilfried Zaha: Arsenal ready to offer Crystal Palace £40m plus 3 players for winger

- Wilfried Zaha is a summer target for Arsenal ahead of the new season

- Unai Emery is keen to add more depth to his attack-line

- Crystal Palace are demanding £80m for their star attacker

Arsenal have intensified their chase for the signature of Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha, as Unai Emery seeks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

The Gunners have already seen their opening bid of £40m rejected, with Palace demanding £80m for their star attacker.

Emery has been restricted to a tight transfer budget this summer, with just £45m available for the Spaniard to spend.

But in a bid to bridge the gap, Arsenal are said to be ready to offer £40m plus Mohamed Elneny, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson to Palace to sign Zaha.

According to a Metro UK report citing SunSport, the north London club value the three players at £40m.

Zaha is understood to be keen to move to the Emirates, but the Gunners are hoping the winger hands in a transfer request to Palace.

Earlier this month, the Ivory Coast international's brother, Judicael, asked the Eagles to allow the former Man United forward to leave.

Judicael revealed Zaha will forever be grateful to Palace and the club's fans, but it is the player's "dream to play for Arsenal."

"Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they have given means the world to him," he was quoted saying.

"It’s my brother’s dream though to play for Arsenal. Given all that Wilfried has given to Crystal Palace to help them remain a Premier League club," he added.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Arsenal are plotting a summer bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha in a move to beef up their squad this summer.

The Emirate dwellers are eager to land the Ivorian international, but Palace £80m price tag may prove too costly for the Gunners.

Palace are not ready to let go of the 26-year-old without recouping part of the investment, but Arsenal manager Unai Emery’s budget will get only £40m mark if the club fail to beat Chelsea to reach the Champions League.
