Ruga: DSS reportedly invites Ralph Uwazuruike over video message

- Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has reportedly been invited by the DSS in Imo state

- The MASSOB leader was reportedly invited over a viral video credited to him

- In the alleged video, Uwazuruike was reported to have called on the people of southeast to come together and resist Ruga settlement

Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has reportedly been invited by the Department of State Security (DSS).

The MASSOB leader was reportedly asked to come to the Owerri office of the secret service agency for a meeting with the state director, Vanguard reports.

According to the news outlet, the invitation may not be unconnected with a viral video message issued by Chief Uwazuruike. The video reportedly called on Ndigbo people to unite and resist the now suspended Ruga settlement programme.

Confirming the development, the news outlet reported that Uwazuruike forwarded the message containing the invite from the DSS.

“I’m Sampson from DSS office Imo state headquarters Owerri. You are invited to come to DSS headquarters Owerri tomorrow (Today) 11/07/2019 for a meeting with the state director. Time 1200 hours. You can call this number if you need additional information pls,” the message reportedly read.

Legit.ng has however been unable to verify the authenticity of the invitation as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that southeast governors on Tuesday, July 9, insisted that no land was earmarked in the region for the Ruga settlement programme proposed by the federal government.
