The clash that ensued between Senator Elisha Abbo and Remi Tinubu at the Senate disciplinary committee meeting convened to investigate the case of physical assault on a woman in Abuja by the former has brewed reactions from Nigerians.
Nigerians on social media have expressed their opinions and views on the position taken by both senators during the Senate's disciplinary committee meeting.
Some Twitter subscribers in the country have said that the embattled senator is rude, short-tempered and unremorseful in disposition and as such does not deserve to be a custodian of the law.

Moreover, those who disapprove of Abbo's attitude said that he has a problem with women, adding that if he was given the chance, he would have beaten up Tinubu.
However, other persons are of the opinion that Senator Tinubu was wrong to have attributed Abbo's action to his age. This section of Nigerians believe that Tinubu has no right to interrogate Abbo in a harsh tone since they are both senators.
Even more, others feel that instead of Abbo, who is accused of assault, Tinubu seems to be the one trending with the whole drama.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Abbo appeared before a Senate committee set up to investigate the incident on Tuesday afternoon, July 9. The Adamawa lawmaker, however, refused to speak in front of newsmen or take an oath before the panel.
Legit.ng gathered that before being allowed to testify, individuals invited before Senate committees are made to take oaths to pledge to say the truth.
