David Okereke, Nigeria U-23 star, has reportedly become Club Brugge most expensive signing in last eight years after completing a four-year switch valued at €8m from Italian Serie B outfit Spezia Calcio.

According to reports, the 21-year-old Dream Team VII star is expected to replace Brazilian ace Wesley Moraes, who sealed a move to Premier League returnee Aston Villa in June.

At the last count, Okereke netted 10 times along with 12 assists in 33 matches across all competitions for Spezia last campaign, helping the club to finish sixth in Serie B log.

Club Brugge took to their official Twitter handle on Tuesday, July 9, to make public the signing of the Nigerian youngster.

Okereke is expected to meet his countryman Dennis Bonaventure alongside six other African stars- Krepin Diatta and Amadou Sagna (Senegal), Odilon Kossounou Ivory Coast),Sofyan Amrabat (Morocco), Marvelous Nakamba(Zimbabawe) and Clinton Mata (Angola) at the club.

Okereke, who made his Nigeria U23 debut against Libya in Asaba earlier this year, is likely to make his first start for Club Brugge when they trade tackles with Lokomotiva Zagreb on Friday, July 12, during their pre-season friendly.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that former Nigeria U-23 international Umar Sadiq has completed a loan switch from AS Roma to Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade.

Sadiq, who had a loan stint last season at Scottish side Rangers, is joining the eight-time Serbian league champions on a season-long loan, with an option of outright buy at the end of 2019-20 season inserted in the agreement between Roma and Partizan Belgrade.

Already, Umar, who won bronze with the Dream Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics arrived in Belgrade on Tuesday morning, July 2, and has completed his mandatory medical with the club.
