Umar Sadiq: Nigerian youngster joins Partizan Belgrade on 1-year loan from Roma

- Umar Sadiq has sealed a one year loan deal with Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade

- The 22-year-old has found it difficult breaking into Roma first team after arriving the club from Spezia in 2015

- Sadiq is on his sixth loan spell after previously loan moves to Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Glasgow Rangers, and Perugia

Former Nigeria U-23 international Umar Sadiq has completed a loan switch from AS Roma to Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade.

Sadiq, who had a loan stint last season at Scottish side Rangers, is joining the eight-time Serbian league champions on a season-long loan, with an option of outright buy at the end of 2019-20 season inserted in the agreement between Roma and Partizan Belgrade.

Already, Umar, who won bronze with the Dream Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics arrived in Belgrade on Tuesday morning, July 2, and has completed his mandatory medical with the club.

At the last count, Sadiq has found it difficult breaking into Roma first team after arriving AS Roma from Spezia in 2015, but managed only six appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old is on his sixth loan spell as he was previously loaned out to Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Glasgow Rangers, and Perugia.

Partizan Belgrade will battle Beltinci FC, Olimpija, Bordeaux and Paks in pre-season games before their Super Liga opener against Indija on July 19.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Italian League giants SS Lazio have completed the signing of Nigerian-Dutch forward Habeeb Omobolaji Adekanye on free transfer.

The 20-year-old joined Liverpool academy from Barcelona in 2017 and was immediately promoted to the Reds reserve team the same year.

He scored three goals and two assists for the Merseyside's team B last season but failed to play for Jurgen Klopp's side during his two year reign at Anfield.
