Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MRS Holdings Ltd Mr. Alhaji Sayyu Idris Dantata has the internet in awe after he was captured flying a helicopter said to be worth N722 million just to beat traffic.
A video clip which is now making rounds on the internet has the billionaire flying the said helicopter and making an attempt to land it just to get on with his work. It was reported that he flew the helicopter by himself from Victoria Island to Apapa.
The prevalence of billionaires flying helicopters around Lagos just to beat traffic is something to talk about. Recently, it was reported that a young lady was stuck in traffic for over five hours and surprisingly, her boyfriend sent a helicopter to pick her up.
In the case of Alhaji Dantata, it was for business and he was said to have flown from his head office to the warehouse just to keep his business running smoothly.
Alhaji Dantata started his career as director of the Engineering and Transport Division of Dangote Group - considered the Largest Nigerian conglomerate. He was the chairman and director of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc since March 20, 2009. He served as a director of Hydro Alternative Energy, Inc. He has been a non-executive director of Nigerian Telecommunications.
Meanwhile, it was reported that EFCC's net reeled in a lecturer from the prestigious Covenant University in Ota, Ogun state for reportedly defrauding the higher institution of a whopping N180m.
The lecturer, an IT guru, was said to have diverted students' school fees paid into banks into his own private account for years. He was said to have landed into trouble after his secret lavish lifestyle was discovered by the school authorities who handed him over to the law.
