- They will face Madagascar and Guinea in their remaining group games in the tourney
Nigeria's Super Eagles kick off their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Burundi at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday, June 22.
They will be making a return to the competition for the first time since 2013 when they won the title in South Africa under late coach Stephen Keshi.
The three time African champions have however continued their preparations for the competition at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport pitch in Alexandria, Egypt.

And a large number of Nigerian students in that community trooped out in their numbers to cheer the team up.
Meanwhile, many more have promised to turn out in their numbers to cheer the Super Eagles to victory when they get started this weekend.
Nigeria are in the same group alongside Guinea, Burundi and Madagascar as they hope to win their fourth AFCON title at the end of this tournament.

"A good number of Nigerian students of the Arab Academy showed up to cheer the team during the training session, promising to turn out in even greater numbers during our 2019 Africa Cup of Nations group matches."
It will be recalled that Gernot Rohr and his men suffered a 1-0 defeat to Senegal in their last test game last weekend with Idrissa Gueye scoring the lone goal in the game.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria’s Super Eagles will smile to the bank with $4.5m prize money if the Gernot Rohr’s tutored-side emerges victorious at the forthcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
According to Goal report, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed in April 2019 that prize money totaling $14.2 million would be shared between the best eight teams at AFCON 2019 as prize money.
Interestingly, the continent’s football showpiece will feature 24 teams for the first time, with final slated for July 19 at the Cairo International Stadium.
