- Frank Lampard tops the list of candidates to replace Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea
- The Italian boss is on the verge of becoming Juventus manager
- Allegri and Mourinho are other managers listed for the Blues job this summer
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has reportedly been tipped as the leading candidate to replace outgoing boss Maurizio Sarri this summer.
The Blues seems to have allowed their manager leave after being paid a sum of £7 million severance package by Juventus earlier this week.
Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge in 2018 and led them to Europa league triumph at the end of his first season at the club.
If they lose their manager, the west London club are now planning to hire Derby County boss Lampard to fill the managerial void left by Sarri.
SunSport reports that the Chelsea are planning to launch their first bid to bring their former midfielder to the club this summer, but this time as a manager.
Though, the Blues bosses want the tactician to gain more experience at the Championship side, but the fans are not that patient as they want the English man in charge of the club next term.
Lampard guided Derby County to the playoffs after just one season of being appointed manager of the Rams but lost to Aston Villa in the final.
Meanwhile Derby owner Mel Morris is not ready to allow his manager leave next campaign - but remains aware of his inevitable move back to West London.
Morris told talkSPORT: "One day maybe Frank will manage Chelsea, I don't doubt that will happen at some point in the future.
"But I just hope when that does happen he can pick up Chelsea at a time where he can go on to be successful. Right now we want to keep him.”
Massimiliano Allegri and Jose Mourinho are other managers tipped to take over from Sarri at Stamford Bridge this summer.
It will also be recalled that Chelsea recently lost their best player Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and are faced with two transfer window bans going into the coming campaign.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has been picked by the Blues' players as the man who should replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge this summer.
There have been reports that Chelsea chiefs want Maurizio Sarri to leave the club after just one season in which he won the Europa League title and also finished among the top four teams.
Sarri is also said to be wanted by Italian champions Juventus and he could make a return to Italy soon.
