Honorable Jibrin Abdulmumim has applauded himself for his hard work and courage in helping to install two consecutive speakers of the House of Representatives.
The lawmaker was instrumental in Honourable Yakubu Dogara’s emergence as speaker of the House in 2015 and also supported former majority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, in becoming speaker in 2019.
In a post via his social media page, the Kano lawmaker described himself as being lucky. He however also identified hard work and courage as some of things that have helped him.
Jibrin wished Dogara well, while also congratulating Gbajabiamila for emerging speaker of the 9 National Assembly.

Recall that the lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency of Kano in the House of Representatives, Jibrin, was saddled with the responsibility of leading the campaign for Femi Gbajabiamila's election as speaker of the House.
Legit.ng had reported that Jibrin, who is the chairman of the House committee on transportation, took to Twitter on Saturday, April 13, to display what Gbajabiamila Speakership Organisation has been doing ahead of the inauguration of the ninth National Assembly.
The lawmaker tweeted: "#FemiGbaja4Speaker - Mid night work...my daily map 360 members. 1 Speaker. United and inclusive House. Speaker for all irrespective of Party affiliation. 10th of June. A Joint Task. 9th Assembly. A new era. History beckons.. @femigbaja."
Gbajabiamila ultimately emerged as speaker of the ninth Assembly on Tuesday, June 11, after he had served as majority leader of the eighth Assembly.
