Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has gone spiritual, thanking Jesus following his victory in deputy Senate presidency election.
Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress defeated Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party in the election that took place on Tuesday, June 11.
Following his victory in the election, Omo-Agege through his social media page wrote: ‘Hail my Jesus”
This tweet generated reactions from Nigerians with many asking the lawmaker not to call the name of Jesus in vain. They claimed that he was allegedly responsible for the mace theft during the 8th Senate.
Others however congratulated Omo-Agege and wished him well.

Recall that Senator Omo-Agege, representing Delta central senatorial district, emerged the deputy president of the ninth Senate.
Legit.ng reports that Omo-Agege of the APC emerged victorious after defeating his challenger, the PDP's Senator Ekweremadu representing Enugu West senatorial district.
Omo-Agege at the election for the ninth Senate claimed 68 votes, flooring his contender, Ekweremadu, who scored 37 votes.
