Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna has wished former Kaduna state senators, Hunkuyi and Shehu Sani a well deserved retirement.
The governor said this on his Facebook page on June 11 while congratulating new Kaduna senators, Suleiman Abdu Kwari and Uba Sani.
Going further, the governor declared that his loyalty and fidelity to friends are permanent and pensionable while opposition and enmity to traitors are also permanent and pensionable.

There has been no love lost between Sani and El-Rufai. During the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary in Kaduna, Sani lost the party's ticket to the special adviser to Governor El-Rufai on political affairs, Malam Uba Sani.
The party’s National Working Committee had earlier given an automatic ticket to the Sani but it was revoked following a protest by El-Rufai, some aspirants and other party leaders.
According to report, the governor was bent on denying the senator a return ticket to the upper chamber.
Following his loss, Sani left the APC and joined the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) on October 3.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Sani spoke on the renaming of Abuja stadium after Moshood Abiola.
The senator, on Wednesday, June 12, on his twitter page, said the renaming is a good thing as it is very commendable.
