French forward Antoine Griezmann has hinted he could move to the English topflight by admitting he could quit Spain altogether this summer.

According to reports, the Atletico Madrid striker has tabled a transfer request at the end of last campaign and the La Liga side confirmed the Frenchman will be sold this summer.

Last season, Barcelona were keen on sealing a deal for the France international, but the Catalans’ dwellers have moved on, preferring to invest on the signing quality midfielders and defenders

In addition, Griezmann’s massive buyout clause of £108m, is another issue Barcelona are facing in their bid to strengthen their squad.

“There’s a need for patience, as it’s still soon,” disclosed Griezmann after France’s 4-0 win against Andorra.

“I want my future to be decided more than anyone, but there’s a need to wait.

“I don’t know if I’ll remain in Spain. Maybe in two weeks we’ll know something.

“I just want to play football and have fun.”

Interestingly, Griezmann was closing in on a switch to Manchester United in 2017, but Atletico Madrid were barred from any transfer deals, suggesting they would not get a replacement.

The Red Devils opted to go for Romelu Lukaku with the Frenchman penning a new deal at Atletico Madrid in 2018.

At the last count, Man City boss Pep Guardiola has waved off interest on the forward, while Chelsea are struggling with FIFA two-window transfer ban.
