Manchester United star, Paul Pogba, has revealed Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante as the toughest opponent he has come up against in his career.

Both stars paired help to help France win their second World Cup title in Russia in the summer of 2018.

But the former Juventus star, who has had to play against his countryman in the Premier League for about three seasons admits that Blues star remains the toughest opposition.

As such, the Frenchman has undoubtedly come across world-class oppositions, facing off with some of the game's best players including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a recent interview with The Times, the 26-year-old was specifically asked to name the most difficult opponent be has faced thus far in his career.

And to the surprise of many, Pogba singled out fellow countryman, N'Golo Kante.

When asked the question, he said: "N'golo [Kante]," he says after a bit of thought, before agreeing that it's good to have him on his team.

Kante has cemented his place as one of the finest midfielders of his generation in recent years, having played a vital role in the title -winning units of Leicester and Chelsea. earlier reported that Juventus are eager to land their former player Paul Pogba to improve their midfield options this summer.

The Mirror reports that 2018 World Cup winner is struggling for form at Old Trafford dwellers Manchester United, since his return in 2016.
