Super Eagles and Chelsea full-back Ola Aina will be joining Serie A campaigners Torino on a permanent from the Stamford Bridge dwellers.

The Premier League giants confirmed via a statement that the Nigerian international, who joined the Serie A outfit on a season-long loan deal last summer– a switch which saw the Serie A side exercise the option-to-buy clause in the loan deal.

The 22-year-old.enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Italian topflight - making 32 appearances and scoring once, with Torino claiming on Tuesday night, June 11 they had exercised their option to sign Aina.

Chelsea responded that the Nigeria international will be moving to the Italian club this summer.

"Everyone at Chelsea Football Club would like to thank Ola for his services and we wish him the best of luck for the next stage in his career," a statement on Chelsea’s official website read in part.

Aina is now expected to head to Torino to sign the dotted lines after representing Nigeria at the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The defender, who kick-started his Chelsea career as a right winger, joined the club as an Under-11 and progressed through Blues academy winning multiple honours.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Super Eagles and Chelsea full-back Ola Aina is set to complete a permanent switch to Torino for £8.7m after impressing during his loan spell at Serie A outfit.

According to Daily Mail report, Ola Aina started 22 games in the Italian topflight last campaign and made 30 appearances across all competition, doing enough to guarantee a permanent deal.
