Nigerians react as Omo-Agege emerges deputy Senate president

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s emergence as deputy Senate president has elicited reactions among Nigerians as people took to social media to express their opinion.

Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress was elected on Tuesday, June 11 defeating former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Some Nigerians congratulated the lawmaker for his victory while others recalled that he allegedly was involved in the stealing of the National Assembly mace during the eighth Senate.

Legit.ng had reported that Senator Omo-Agege, representing Delta central senatorial district, emerged the deputy president of the ninth Senate. Omo-Agege of the APC emerged victorious after defeating his challenger, the PDP's Senator Ike Ekweremadu representing Enugu West senatorial district.
