Super Eagles and Chelsea full-back Ola Aina is set to complete a permanent switch to Torino for £8.7m after impressing during his loan spell at Serie A outfit.

According to Daily Mail report, Ola Aina started 22 games in the Italian topflight last campaign and made 30 appearances across all competition, doing enough to guarantee a permanent deal.

Chelsea reportedly inserted the option for Torino to buy Aina last summer, but the Stamford Bridge dwellers might be reluctant to lose the Eagles star, no thanks to two-window transfer ban from FIFA.

The Nigeria international is among a group of players on loan that the Blues have been keeping tabs on.

Interestingly, Aina has been under close observation by Chelsea chiefs since his loan switch last summer, but the comments of Torino president Urbano Cairo suggests the Blues need to make more clarification.

“We exercised our option to buy Aina, as well as [Christian] Ansaldi and [Koffi] Djidji. Now Torino own all their players.'

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Torino are reportedly ready to complete Ola Aina's permanent signing from Chelsea at the end of the season after his impressive games in Italy.

The 22-year-old defender is currently playing for Torino on loan from Chelsea and the Italian club are now said to be ready to offer the Blues the sum of £9 million to get his signature.

According to the report by UK Sun, Torino initially wanted to sign Ola Aina permanently before the end of the January 2019 transfer window, but they changed their decision to wait till summer.
