Joao Felix, Benfica star, close to landing £100k-a-week deal with Man City

- Joao Felix is said to have been offered a five year deal worth £100k-a-week by Manchester City

- The teenage sensation is also said to be wanted by Man United this summer

- Felix became the youngest teenager to score hat-trick in Europa League

Manchester City are reportedly planning to offer Portugal teenage sensation Joao Felix a five year deal which could see him earn about £100k-a-week at the Etihad Stadium.

The 19-year-old became the youngest player to score hat-trick in the history of Europa League after helping Benfica beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2 in April.

His performances has however attracted attention of top European clubs with Manchester United, Barcelona and a few other clubs hoping to secure his signature as reported by SunSport.

While the Red Devils are said to be in pole position to land the youngster, city rivals are hoping to beat them to the acquisition of the Portuguese star with a £26 million deal on the table.

Felix scored 20 goals, assisting 11 others last season, and he could command a transfer fee of about £105 million this summer from one of Europe's giants.

The publication claims the Portuguese side could allow their star man leave for the right prize from top European clubs.

Not too long ago, Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira admitted they will sell the player only if he would return to the club on loan for the upcoming season.

Vieira claimed: "We sit down with players and they say 'president, I can earn €5 million, president, do not make me stay here".

"Joao Felix had a release clause of €60m and we realised after two or three games that we must increase it to €120m. "But it is Joao Felix and his family who will decide if he stays.

"If someone bids €120m it is not worth dreaming that he will stay. "We are trying everything to ensure he stays. But the only way is if we sell him and keep him another year.

"If not, Joao leaves. There is no room to negotiate further. He doesn't want to. "How will Benfica negotiate with someone after he is given a proposal of €6m after tax?"
