- UEFA Nations League's best 11 players have been released with no surprises in the squad

- Champions, Portugal and runners-up, the Netherlands have four players each in the starting XI

- Third placed side England, have just one player and Switzerland completing the squad with two slots

The UEFA Nations League has come and gone as the organizing body released their starting XI after Portugal emerged champions of the inaugural edition.

Jordan Pickford is the only English player that made the list as he was put in the number one position in the team.

Champions, Portugal have four squad members in the side including - Cristiano Ronaldo, Man City's Bernardo Silva, Raphael Gurrero at left back and and Rueben Dias in center-back.

The young Netherlands side also had four inclusion involving - Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie De Jong, Marten de Roon and Memphis Depay.

Switzerland's Manuel Akanji and Kelvin Mbabu completed the list of players selected among the best 11 players in the tournament.

Goncalo Guedes scored the winning in the finals as Portugal defeated Ronald Koeman's men 1-0 while England beat Switzerland 6-5 on penalties after playing 0-0 in regulation time.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Portugal celebrated their UEFA Nations League win with thousands of fans in victory parade in Porto shortly after defeating the Netherlands in the finals.
