Oborevwori, Ogundoyin emerge speakers of Delta, Oyo assemblies

Adebo Ogundoyin has emerged the speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly. Adebo is the son of business mogul, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin.

The lawmaker is representing Ibarapa-east at the 9th Assembly.

Also, the Delta state House of Assembly, has elected Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori from Okpe state constituency as speaker of the seventh Assembly.

Vanguard reports that Oborevwori was elected speaker of the sixth Assembly on May 11, 2017, following the removal of Chief Monday Igbuya.

The House also elected Hon Christopher Ochor as deputy speaker. Ochor is from Ukwuani constituency.

Legit.ng reported that the Lagos state House of Assembly on Friday, June 7, reelected Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa as the speaker of the Assembly.

Obasa, who represents Agege constituency 1 at the Assembly, was nominated for the position by the lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland constituency 2, Hon Moshood Oshun.

The nomination was seconded by Hon Yinka Ogundimu from Agege constituency 2. Also elected is the sitting deputy speaker, Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, who was nominated by Hon Tunde Braimoh and seconded by Hon Desmond Elliot.

The majority leader, Hon Sanai Agunbiade, and chief whip, Hon Rotimi Abiru, deputy majority leader Olumuyiwa Jimoh were reelected. Mosunmola Sangodara, female lawmaker, was elected deputy chief whip.
