Yannick Carrasco is plotting a sensational return to Europe this summer after a brief stint with Chinese Super League side, Dalian Yifang.

According to reports, the former Atletico Madrid winger is already in advanced talks with Arsenal over a possible switch.

Carrasco has been a long-term target for Unai Emery and Arsenal, with the Gunners initially plotting a move in January 2019 before signing Denis Suarez instead.

But with Emery now planning to bolster his squad ahead of next season, the Belgium international has emerged as a prime target.

The 25-year-old has since hinted he could join the Emirates outfit, exuding confidence he would suit playing in the Premier League.

"Negotiations are going well," the Belgium international said, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

"I am aware that I am an important player for the team but I hope they let me leave. From a personal and family point of view, I would like to return to Europe," he added.

Carrasco shot to prominence with Atletico Madrid before sealing a shock move to China a year-and-half ago.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Stephan Lichtsteiner has confirmed he will leave Arsenal this summer after spending just a season at the Emirates.

The Swiss international spent one season with the north London club after arriving from Juventus on a free transfer last season.
