A Nigerian man has shared his experience with Lagos state police officers on Twitter. The man identified simply as Ifeanyi had accused police officers in Lagos state of harassing and robbing him.
The man shared a Twitter thread, narrating his experience. He claimed that the officers had addressed him immediately he got off a bus at Mile 2 bridge preparing to border another bus going to Anthony during the public holiday.
According to him, he was harassed by two men and a lady. They showed him their identification and asked to search his bag and phone.
Ifeanyi, who had been heading to work, said the officers found four sim cards in his bag. He said one was his, another was for the company, and the remaining two were for his brother and mother.

He noted that he uses the sim cards to work, switching between them. He said they put him in their vehicle claiming they were taking him to the station, but they only stopped at Alakija bus stop, where they picked up another officer.
The young man said the new officer had threatened to beat him up for not giving them anything. He said at that point, he immediately revealed he had four thousand naira with him.
Ifeanyi said they took the money and dropped him off at a bus stop and left him with five hundred naira.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that two Nigerians were assaulted by police officers and one was killed. A 47-year-old woman had accused the police of killing her son and molesting her in Port Harcourt.
