Anthony Joshua pushes Andy Ruiz defeat behind ahead of their re-match

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua seems to have pushed his defeat to Andy Ruiz last weekend behind him after advising fans 'not to let failure get into their hearts'.

The 29-year-old boxer was floored in the seventh round of his fight against Mexican pugilist Andy Ruiz at the Madison Square Garden.

It would be recalled that last Saturday's defeat was Joshua's first ever having won all 22 previous bouts - 21 decided by knockouts.

Joshua got the fight off to a good start having knocked the Mexican down earlier in the game but could not maintain the momentum in the later parts of the encounter.

The Briton with Nigerian descent struck a power showing his muscle in a blue cardigan with a caption saying: "Don’t let success get to your head or failure get to your heart ."

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old has confirmed that his team has triggered the re-match clause in their contract.

And the match will be staged sometime in November or December but the venue is yet to be decided. earlier reported that Anthony Joshua lost his IBF, WBA, WBO world titles to Andy Ruiz after he was knocked out in the seventh round on Saturday, June 1.

It was Joshua's first defeat in his career after winning 20 straight victories with 19 coming by the way of knockouts.
