Naira Marley: Management debunk claims that he is yet to find sureties for bail

The past few weeks have been a roller coaster for Nigerian hip hop artist Afeez Eniola following his arrest by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on allegations bothering on advanced fee fraud.

In a fortunate twist of event for the music star, Legit.ng gathered that he was granted bail in the sum of N2 million with landed properties in Lagos as sureties.

The report further noted that a presiding judge at the Federal High Court sitting, Justice Nicholas Onweibo, said that the first surety must be a civil servant not below the grade 10 level while the second surety must have a landed property in a jurisdiction approved by the court.

However, since the news of his bail broke on social media, many have continued to wonder why the singer is still in the custody of the EFCC, with some people going the extra mile by making allegations that Marley has not been able to meet his bail conditions.

Reacting to the allegation that no one is coming forward to stand in as surety for the embattled music star, his management took to his social media page with a post dismissing the claims. It was disclosed that the sureties for the singer are available to sign his bail but there’s a delay from the EFCC due to the need to properly verify the information provided.
