In Nigeria, policemen who have been charged with the protection of lives and properties of citizens have gradually built a reputation of becoming a terror in the society, going by numerous complaints from their victims.
A 47-year-old woman has cried out for help after she was reportedly molested by police officers.
The woman, Ebi Egori, accused officers of the IGP Monitoring Unit of assault as well as murder.
According to a post shared by @phcsocialmedia on Twitter, Egori was allegedly molested and her 21-year-old son was killed in her presence by the erring officers.
The incident is said to have happened during a raid of her home at Aluu, Ikwerre LGA in Port Harcourt.
She is now calling on the Inspector General of Police to take action against the officers of the IGP Monitoring Unit.
However, the police have responded to Egori’s cries as they assured her that an investigation has already commenced on the matter.
Just recently, Legit.ng reported that popular actress, Regina Daniel's mother had a face-off with police officers after her son was arrested in Delta state.
In a rather emotional video, Regina's mum, Rita, was seen crying out about the constant harassment of her kids whom she defended of being responsible. She accused the police of having a personal vendetta against her as they always seem to attack her children every time they step out.
