Abdulsalam Baba Ahmed, a former commissioner of land and survey in Kaduna state passed away on Tuesday, June 4, following a brief illness.
The development was made public by his elder brother, Hakeem Baba Ahmed, in Zaria, Daily Trust reports.
Legit.ng gathers that the elder Ahmed disclosed that his brother died at 3pm in Kaduna.
Among many other public and private offices he held, the deceased had served as Zaria local government chairman before being appointed commissioner in the Ramalan Yero government.
Funeral prayers were held at the Baba Ahmeds’ family house at Tudun Wada, Zaria.
Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the immediate past commissioner for education in Katsina state, Halimatu Saadiya Idris, had passed on.
The development was made public on Twitter by youth activist, Abubakar Sadiq Dankanjiba.
Dankanjiba stated that Idris succumbed to injuries sustained after a robbery attack on the way from Kaduna to Abuja.
