We have made Kogi prosperous for unborn generations - Yahaya Bello reveals

- Yahaya Bello, the executive governor of Kogi, has said that his government has create wealth for unborn generations in the state

Yahaya Bello, the executive governor of Kogi, has said that his administration has created prosperity for unborn generations in the state.

The governor made the statement when he signed 16 bills into law on Monday, June 3, at the state capital in Lokoja, The Cable reports.

Bello also said that his government, through its deeds, has shown to the people of Kogi that “we have them at heart”.

The governor also said that he is not surprised that the people of the state has shown great appreciation during the House of Assembly elections in the state.

This was made known by the governor’s chief press secretary, Mohammed Onogwu, who also gave more details about the bills that were assented to by the governor.

He said: ”Surely, we have made the state to be more prosperous for ourselves and the unborn generations

“We have shown to the good people of Kogi state that we have them at heart, and I am not surprised for the wonderful reward and appreciation by the people during the last house of assembly elections.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kogi state, Dandy Ataja, dismissed media reports suggesting Governor Yahaya Bello is plotting the removal of the ruling party's national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Ataja who is a key member of the influential G9 Initiative for GYB in Kogi state, in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Saturday, June 1, described the report as fake news.

According to him, the news and many other alike are, “examples of the childishness into which the opposition here continues to slide the nearer we get to November 16, the date for the next Kogi governorship elections.”

The reports claimed that Governor Bello is working with a coalition of powerful aggrieved persons to achieve the said objective.

The report also alleged that the plot was laid out by Edward Onoja, chief of staff to the Kogi state governor during a meeting with some female APC supporters he is said to have hosted recently in Abuja.
