Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has made key appointments into his government as he begins his second term in office.
Okowa has appointed Hon. Chiedu Ebie as secretary to state government, Olorogun David Edevbie, as chief of staff; and Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon as his senior political adviser.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the permanent secretary, Government House, Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje.
The governor in the statement said that the appointments take immediate effect.
Legit.ng gathered that Okowa will on Monday, June 3, swear in Ebie.
The ceremony will take place at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 11.00am.
Similarly, Imo state governor, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has approved the following appointments;
1. Hon. Uche Onyeagucha - secretary to the state government
2. Chief Chris Okewulonu - chief of staff
3. Barr. Chima Nwana - deputy chief of staff
4. Chief Chinemerem Madu- chief of protocol
Meanwhile, the newly-sworn in Zamfara state governor, Hon. Dr Muhammad Bello Matawallen-Maradun has dedicated half of his monthly salary to orphans welfare in the state.
Matawallen Maradun announced this on Thursday, May 30 when he visited the state's orphanage home in Gusau, the state capital.
He said orphans are among the important personalities in the society, therefore they need to be given effective care and concern.
