The police have arrested a female teacher, Chizoba, for reportedly staging her own abduction and collecting ransom for herself in Abriba-Ohafia area of Abia state.
According to the report posted by Abba Kyari on facebook, the suspect, a mother of three was arrested by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) with two others whose name were give as Anthony and Ezemam, her accomplices.
The two individuals assisted her in performing the kidnap as they acted as the abductors.
The report also gathered that the sum of N500,000 was already paid as ransom money in Chiiizoba’s account before men of the IRT got them.
A relative of the female teacher alert the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Adamu Mohammed to the situation and told him of the ask for N2 million ransom as they threatened to kill the mother of three if the money was not paid.
A team led by DCP Kyari tracked the suspect and surprisingly saw Chizoba having s*x with one of the suspects at the place they were expecting she was held hostage.
The female teacher, however, denied she staged her kidnapped, saying she was hypnotized and lost consciousness, only to discover she was in her boyfriend’s house who later started demanding for ransom from her relatives.
Ezema debunked the claim, saying they planned it together and she is his lover.
He said: “We are lovers and we planned the fake kidnap together. We wanted to travel outside the country. She told me that her relatives would pay. We met on Facebook and we love ourselves. I know that she is ashamed of what really happened. I feel for her, but she should not make me look like a criminal.”
