James Milner and Joel Matip to get new deals at Liverpool this summer

James Milner and Joel Matip are reportedly expected to get new contract deals from Premier League giants Liverpool regardless of their Champions League final result against Tottenham.

At the just concluded Premier League season, these two players were superb for Liverpool who finished second on the final standings behind champions Manchester City.

But James Milner and Joel Matip both have 12 months left to run on their respective contracts at Anfield.

And according to the latest report by Telegraph, Liverpool chiefs are ready to offer these two players an additional year to their current contracts.

James Milner has been playing for Liverpool since 2015 after joining the Reds from Manchester City on a free transfer.

On September 26, 2015, he scored his debut goal for Liverpool in a 3–2 win against his former club Aston Villa at Anfield.

Matip on the other hand became Liverpool player in July 2016 following the expiration of his contract with Schalke.

They are both expected to be in Liverpool's first team when they tackle Premier League rivals Tottenham in the final of the 2018/19 Champions League.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Loris Karius, Liverpool shot-stopper, snubbed an opportunity to watch the 2019 Champions League final in Madrid over fear of distracting the team.

According to the report, the German goalie currently in the final leg of has 12 months left on his two-year loan deal at Besiktas, committed two blunders during Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid in the Champions League final last year.
