Bayern Munich's mega bid to sign Manchester City winger Leroy Sane this summer has been turned down by the reigning Premier League champions.

With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry leaving this summer, Bayern Munich want the signing of German Leroy Sane so as to bolster their squad for next season.

Although, Leroy Sane failed to command regular playing time last season at Manchester City, but the club's gaffer Pep Guardiola want to keep him at the Etihad.

“We offered to extend his contract. We want him to stay. What proof is more than for six, seven months we want to extend his contract? If we don’t want him, we don’t extend his contract,'' Guardiola explained according to Guardian UK.

Bayern Munich are said to have offered massive sum of £70.7m to Manchester City for the possibility of them to lure Sane back to Germany.

But their bid has been turned down although the report added that the German champions are expected to come back for a second approach.

Meanwhile, Leroy Sane made 31 appearances last season for Manchester City in the Premier League scoring 10 goals and creating ten assists for the Citizens.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how last season’s PFA young player of the year Leroy Sane could be offloaded during the summer by Manchester City due to his poor attitude.

According to the report, Man City manager Pep Guardiola is running out of patience with the German star, and his attitude in training is one major factor the Citizens hierarchy are already searching for a potential replacement.
