- Sadio Mane has taken time out to speak about Liverpool future ahead of Champions League final
- Mane has repeatedly been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer
- But he has now revealed to Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler why he will love to remain at Anfield going forward
Sadio Mane has revealed he will not be leaving Liverpool this summer - because there is no place as “tempting" as the Anfield-based club.
According to The Mirror, the Senegalese forward told Reds legend Robbie Fowler, in an interview that he was not ready to dump Liverpool for Real Madrid’s interest - with the former England man insisting he would love to see Mane win silverware with the club for a “long, long time.”
And Mane could only respond with a smile as he said: “I hope as well. There’s no place like it.”
“Yes, incredible. So incredible. I think after these kind of things, you won’t go anywhere else, because we are the best club and the best fans, so I think this is something incredible…”
The Senegalese star also took out time to speak on his struggles to be a footballer, and his dreams to touch many lives across the globe, by being a good example worthy of a true Muslim.
Mane also attempted explaining why Liverpool remains the “sexiiest” club.
“This is what makes Liverpool so special, because since I came here it is like, wow.
“The first time the boss called me, I said: ‘Oh!’ Because before, I have one brother in Senegal, he was saying even when I was still at Salzburg, ‘I want to see you at Liverpool’.
“I still remember, he was always saying: “You don’t know about Liverpool, it is a sexyy club!’ He was telling me all the time, ‘in Europe, it is the only club, the sexyy club…’
“He used to tell me that, and now, he’s telling me, ‘I told you, I told you’. And I never believed that I could play for Liverpool, and even now, I can’t believe it,” he summed up.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Real Madrid are ready to renew their interest to sign Sadio Mane from Liverpool in the summer.
According to UK Sun citing Marca, Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane was eager to land the 26-year-old Senegalese last summer, but could not seal the deal before leaving his role at the Bernabeu.
And after returning as Real Madrid boss last month, the Frenchman, who is on his second stint with the Galaticos is set to table a £73m offer this summer.
