- The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, recently boarded a plane from Port Harcourt to Lagos
- The king's entourage announced his presence on the flight
- Nigerians on board were amused while others were frightened by the interesting display
One of Nigeria’s topmost kings, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, recently boarded a plane from Port Harcourt to Lagos and his entrance dazzled a number of other passengers.
Royalty is highly revered in Africa and their presence is always announced at gatherings by their entourage.
It was not different in the Ooni of Ife’s case as he boarded a plane from PH to Lagos. The king was flanked by someone who dressed in a white tunic with animal skin and looked like a traditional priest.
The priest was obviously not letting his king’s presence on the plane go unnoticed as he shook a calabash rattle and walked back and forth energetically even after the Ooni sat down.
However, Nigerians on the plane were obviously not used to the display as some of them were amused while others felt it had spiritual implications as they called on the blood of Jesus.
The video was shared on social media by music agent and entrepreneur, Soso Soberoken. He seemed to be amused at the display as well as the other passenger's fearful reaction.

Just recently, Legit.ng reported that the Ooni of Ife was spotted leading praise and worship at his evangelist wife's crusade.
The Olori is a Christian evangelist, who has been ministering since she was 18 years old. The Olori took up the commitment of being a full time evangelist in 2011, before tying the knot with the Ooni.
Olori Naomi, who is the founder and president of En-Heralds, an interdenominational ministry based in Akure, Ondo state, recently held a 3-day revival organised in Ikere, Ekiti state.
On the third day of the revival, the Ooni of Ife took the stage at the crusade and performed a praise and worship song to the excitement of the crowd.
