Governor Buni marries ex-governor Gaidam’s daughter

Newly sworn-in Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni on Thursday, May 30, married a new wife.

Daily Trust reports that Governor Buni married his predecessor’s daughter, Adama Ibrahim Gaidam, barely 24 hours after taking oath of office.

According to the report, the marriage was conducted around 12 noon by Sheikh Abubakar Adam, and took place at Sabon Fegi residence of the former governor in Damaturu, the state capital.

Buni and Gaidam left for Abuja immediately after the marriage.

Meanwhile, the newly-sworn in Zamfara state governor, Hon. Dr Muhammad Bello Matawallen-Maradun has dedicated half of his monthly salary to orphans welfare in the state.

Matawallen Maradun announced this on Thursday, May 30 when he visited the state's orphanage home in Gusau, the state capital.

He said orphans are among the important personalities in the society, therefore they need to be given effective care and concern.
