Barely 24 hours after his swearing-in for a second term, the Akwa Ibom state governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has reappointed Mr. Ekerete Udoh, as his chief press secretary and senior special assistant on media.
In a release signed by Dr. Nathaniel Adiakpan, permanent secretary, Government House, Uyo, Governor Emmanuel wished Udoh good-luck on his reappointment.

Reacting to the reappointment, the publisher of The Guide newspaper based in Akwa Ibom state and leader of Akwa Ibom Liberation Movement (AILM), Prince Emmanuel Sam, congratulated Udoh on his reappointment.
Sam described Udoh's reappointment as a worthy development in the media sector of the state, adding that Udoh's wealth of his experience is exceptional.
He said Udoh brought his vast experience to bear in the last four years in his relationship with media managers in the state, noting that the chief press secretary will do more in the next four years.
Sam thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for reappointing Udoh, whom he described as a good media relations manager, and wished the governor success in his second term.
Meanwhile, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state has promised that his administration will continue its industrialisation drive, giving priority to Ibom deep seaport and industrial city projects in his second term.
Emmanuel, 52, disclosed this in his second term inaugural speech on Wednesday, May 29 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the state capital.
The governor also promised that his administration will raise the bar of performance in all areas and lift Akwa Ibom state to an enviable height, to be the pride of the nation.
