I regret saying I’m happy Naira Marley was arrested - Ruggedman revisits old comment (video)

-Ruggedman released a video in which he revisited his comment on Naira Marley’s arrest

-He admitted his mistakes and said he should never have mocked his junior colleague

-The rapper charged people to steer away from negative comments directed at the music act

Nigerian veteran rapper Ruggedman, has taken to social media with a video in which he addressed previous comments he made regarding the arrest of singer and junior colleague Naira Marley, by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Recall that Legit.ng gathered that the rap star in a radio interview with City FM expressed satisfaction at the arrest of Naira Marley and even wondered why none of his fans showed up at the EFCC’s office to support him.

However, in the heat of the singers battle with the anti-graft agency, Ruggedman was forced to release a statement in which he cleared the air on his involvement in his junior colleague’s arrest. He said even if he initially expressed satisfaction at the development, he had nothing to do with it.

In a recent video shared on his Instagram page, Ruggedman has now revisited his previous comments and disclosed that he wished he never mocked the arrest of Naira Marley.

Ruggedman said he had no idea that the issue would become such a big deal and as such he would never have attempted to deliberately sabotage the career of a fellow colleague in the industry.

Admitting his mistakes, the top rapper called on people to steer away from making any more negative comments directed at the arrested music act, adding that he needs all the positivity he can muster at this point in time.

In a related story, Legit.ng reported that Naira Marley made his second court appearance on Thursday, May 30, for his bail application hearing. The singer’s bail was set at the sum of N2 million.
