The incident threatened to throw Chelsea's preparations for the encounter into disarray as it took the intervention of teammates to separate the pair.

However, in an apparent change of atmosphere, the two were caught on video celebrating together in the Blues' dressing room moments after their Europa League triumph over their London rivals.

In the video, Higuian can be seen seating right behind Luiz, kissing him on the cheek.

"I think that you were not able to understand yesterday. If my players are really very aggressive in training I am happy, not disappointed," he told BT Sport after their 4-1 victory over rivals Arsenal.
