The Nigerian social media platform is currently buzzing with mixed reactions following the story of how a lady who visited her boyfriend's house for the first time, sat down while his mother swept the house.
When it comes to choosing a life partner, parents tend to take on the responsibility of ensuring their child ends up with the right one. With Nigerian parents however, testing their child's spouse-to-be with little things like house chores or even money is usually one way they often go about it.
The story shared by a Twitter user, Lord Fuad, is no different. A man brought home his girlfriend to meet his mother and while he left her in the sitting room, his mother started sweeping but his lady love did not assist her.
Read post: "This guy took his gf to his house. He left her in the parlour, went to the room. His mum was sweeping the floor, got to the girl's place, she lifted her leg so the mum could sweep underneath. Was she right to do that?"
The post gathered several reactions from people. While some were of the opinion that she should have assisted the woman being that it may have been a test, others believe that she did the right thing by not lifting a finger considering she was merely a first-time visitor.
