- Liverpool vs Tottenham Champions League final clash is set to hold at the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium this weekend
- Naby Keita has been ruled out of the clash after failing to recover well in time for the encounter
- Roberto Firmino has in turn handed the Reds a boost after returning to full training last week
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Naby Keita will not be available for this weekend's Champions League final against Tottenham in Madrid.
The 24-year-old has not featured for the Reds following the devastating injury he suffered during their 3-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou earlier this month.
Keita, who joined the Merseyside in the summer of 2018 from RB Leipzig in a deal valued around €60 million, scored three goals and one assist in 32 appearances this recently concluded season.
When asked if the Guinean will be back in time for the all important match at the Wanda Metropolitan this weekend, Klopp said: "[There is] no chance for Naby.
Meanwhile, the race for Keita to be fit for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt is in progress having being named in his national team's 25-man provisional squad for the tourney.
Klopp added: "He is progressing well but we will see how it will work out for him for African Cup of Nations, we don't know that yet."
Meanwhile, Brazil forward Roberto Firmino is fit and has returned to full training their camp in Marbella after missing three matches with a muscle strain.
And Klopp has been pleased with his progress: "Bobby was part of training last week and looked really good, everything fine. We took him out again and he will be back in training from tomorrow,"
"Everything we have seen so far looked really good, he will be fine I'm pretty sure."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Naby Keita has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
The Guinea international was stretched out during Liverpool's 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal clash.
He was only able to play 24 minutes before being taken out and his manager Jurgen Klopp admits he will not be available for the Reds for the rest of this season.
